My aim was to give visitors an idea of the customs we once had that began on Christmas Eve and lasted till the 6 th of January.
The panels show the Christmas fire that used to burn in every house spreading its warmth, it tells of the mean little goblins that tease and scare young and old with their pranks, they show our Saint Basil coming from Cesaria and the special cake each family cuts to see who will be the lucky one of the year, while carols are still sung in our days on Christmas Eve, on the night before New Year’s day and on the 5 th of January.
